Bjarki Bloodhand and Tor Hildarsdottir journey south into Saxony, seeking to join the ranks of the legendary berserkir - the elite fighters of the North. Karolus, King of the Franks, has vowed to stamp out the superstitious beliefs of his northern neighbors, who shun the teachings of the church. It will fall to Bjarki, Tor and all the brave people of Saxony to resist the mighty king in a struggle for the fate of all Europe.
