How to change minds about our changing climate : let science do the talking the next time someone tries to tell you ... : the climate isn't changing : global warming is actually a good thing : climate change is natural, not man-made : ... and other arguments it's time to end for good / Seth B. Darling and Douglas L. Sisterson ; illustrations by Sarah M. Sisterson.
The basics -- Misdirection. There is no consensus -- It's a conspiracy -- We don't need to worry. Who says climate change is such a bad thing? -- We're heading toward an Ice Age, so why worry about warming? -- There's no link between warming and extreme weather -- Climate change isn't happening. Feels pretty cold...where's your global warming? -- The planet isn't getting warmer -- Glaciers are growing, Antarctica is gaining ice -- Climate is too complex to model or predict -- It's not our fault. There is no link between carbon dioxide and global temperature -- It's just a natural cycle -- More carbon dioxide won't make a difference -- What about... -- There's nothing we can do about it. Carbon taxes or cap-and-trade systems will destroy the economy, kill jobs, and hurt the poor -- Renewable energy is too expensive or too variable -- Outlook.
