Andrew Apperley and his younger brother, David, are floating down the Hudson River, discussing the differences between proper eastern society and the Wild West, when they witness a prison break. Soon the infamous Single Jack Deems is swimming for his life, police boats behind him, but then Andrews savage wolf-dog, Comanche, rescues the criminal.
