Summary:
These video clips were created for the breathing hour of the course, What every musician needs to know about the body by Barbara Conable. Five perspectives demonstrate the lengthening and gathering of the spine, and the deepening and widening of the torso during free breathing. Each perspective is presented in real time (2 min clip) and enhanced 3x speed (1 min clip). The enhanced rate shows the breathing movement more dramatically, so when viewing the normal rate again, students usually see the wave-like motion more clearly.
