Summary:
During the State of the Union address, a terrorist organization unleashes a deadly virus in the Capitol Building. Without knowing the true deadly potential of this new plague, President Max Hilliard places a call to Griffin Rhodes, a renowned virologist who is serving time in prison for alleged links to terrorism, and offers him a pardon if he successfully combats the virus. Griffin reluctantly agrees and races to solve the crisis before the American government is obliterated.
