Summary:
"Late businessman Kenneth S. 'Bud' Adams, owner of the Tennessee Titans, generously willed a historic collection of Western paintings and Native American artifacts to the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art when he passed away in 2013. Born in Oklahoma and educated at the Culver Academy and the University of Kansas, Adams was an enrolled member of the Cherokee tribe and a long-time resident of Houston, Texas. Adams' multi-million dollar collection is one of the largest and most important gifts in the Eiteljorg's 27-year history. This special exhibition will feature highlights from the collection and explore classic art of the West, as well as Plains and Southwestern Indian objects that make the collection one of national importance"--Publisher's website.
