Julian's anxieties are often balanced by his optimism, but since his family is moving away from D.C. and time has made his sister grow apart from their usual closeness, he sincerely feels his family may be falling apart. Now in Maine, away from light pollution, Julian's faith in science leads him to believe he can save them all by discovering a new comet, but the real threats to their livelihood are much closer to earth -- their neighbor has some serious issues with their plans to open a B&B.
