The book draws from Hupfield's coffee breaks conversations held over Zoom during the pandemic, in which Hupfield invited international Indigenous performance artists to discuss their work (from dance to stand-up comedy), who in turn invited other artists to join the conversations. Building on these exchanges, Breaking Protocol asks what we can learn from Indigenous, place-based artistic modes of making and practice to open spaces for reciprocity and multiplicity 650 0 $a Indigenous art. 650 0 $a Ethnic art. 650 0 $a Indigenous peoples in art. 650 0 $a Performance artists $x Political activity. 650 0 $a Minority artists $x Political activity. 650 0 $a Decolonization in art. 650 0 $a Arts, Modern $y 21st century. 650 0 $a Artists' books. 700 0 $a Jackson 2bears, $e artist. 700 1 $a Kuoni, Carin, $e writer of afterword. $0 (CaOONL)ncf11043943 941 $a 2 952 $l USUX851 $d 20240502014244.0 952 $l OVUX522 $d 20240417025046.0 956 $a http://locator.silo.lib.ia.us/search.cgi?index_0=id&term_0=C1D20C42C19D11EEA89D2B6520ECA4DB 994 $a C0 $b IWAInitiate Another SILO Locator Search
