Summary:
Jailhouse rock (b&w, 1957, 96 min.): A young man is sent to prison when he accidentally kills a man in a barroom brawl. While behind bars he takes up singing and is helped in the record business by a beautiful young woman.
King Creole (b&w, 1958, 115 min.): A New Orleans teenager struggles to graduate from high school while working at a sleazy French Quarter club to support his family.
G.I. blues (1960, 103 min.): An Oklahoma singer gets out of the army and wants to open a club.
Viva Las Vegas (1964, 85 min.): Lucky Jackson arrives in town with his car literally in tow ready for the first Las Vegas Grand Prix. At least, he will be ready to race once he has the money to buy an engine. He gets the cash easily enough, but loses it when a pretty swimming pool manager takes his mind off things. It seems he will lose both the race and the girl. His problems don't get any easier when rival Elmo Mancini, a fellow racer and womanizer, gets in the way.
