Summary:
The story of the filmmaker's vanishing village and the uncertain life in it. Set up amidst wild jungle as a settlement for refugees from East Pakistan in 1949, the village became a busy industrial hub in the 1980s, bringing the villagers regular earnings and, thereby, uninterrupted meals. Today some 25 years after industrialisation, the village is about to be engulfed by the ever-expanding boundaries of the land-hungry industries. Having lived out of his village since childhood, the filmmaker documents the uncertain life in the village on his multiple visits over a period of five years through the life of his sister and her neighbours, who are being forced by various direct and indirect means by the alloy company in their backyard to sell off their homes and lands and relive the life of a refugee after six decades.
