Summary:
A lonely, homesick Nigerian woman living in a prim middle-class British neighborhood with her children decides to console herself by building a typical African mud-hut in her back yard in which she can relax and feel closer to her origins. Her English neighbors are offended by this and racist thugs come at night and destroy the hut. Discouraged but not defeated by this, the woman plants sunflowers on the site of the hut.
