Summary:
Heiress Cora Jordan vows to make her own way in the world and, after a day of job-hunting, couldn't be more surprised. Why? One: no one hires her. Two: she meets Bill Overton, a flat-broke Knight-errant of a gambler, and teams with him to parlay a nickel into hundreds of dollars, win a car in a raffle, spend a whirlwind neon night on the town and woozily awaken together next morning in the Regent Plaza with only eleven dollars.
