Summary:
In The Terminator, a relentless cybernetic killing machine is sent from the future to terminate a young woman before she can give birth to a son who will become the savior and leader of humankind in a post-nuclear holocast war against the machines.
In Terminator 2, a greatly advanced cybernetic killing machine, made of intelligent liquid metal, is sent from the future to terminate the now adolescent son. However, a second terminator, identical to the older model sent previously, also arrives, but this one has been reprogrammed to protect the hero-to-be at all costs.
