Summary:
Drs. Debra Bobendrier and Cuong Huynh talk about their first year in practice, the lessons learned, the personal growth that came from it. Dr. Sovinsky talks briefly about the DISC survey. The doctors relate that they were high C introverts. Networking events were scary things. They admit they preferred and were naïve to think they could sit in their office and wait for the patients to come in. Someone invited them to be on a committee for a cancer fundraiser, and then another committee for another cause. Surprise! They found that serving humbly behind the scenes was bringing in the patients. At no time during an event did they introduce themselves as doctors nor did they actively promote chiropractic. It was this gentleness that influenced the local TV station, radio, and newspaper to call on them regularly for wellness information. They did not seek publicity; it came to them because of their authenticity. Dr. Bobendrier and Dr. Huynh are both graduates of Palmer West.
