Summary:
Hometown story: An ex-politician blames big business for his failure to get re-elected. To expose big business as an evil monster he joins his uncle's newspaper. When his little sister is caught in a cave-in, the town's largest company comes to her aid and he must now reconsider.
The little princess: Sara Crewe is treated like a little princess at her boarding school. But when reports of her father's death in the Boer War surface, she is forced into servitude towards other girls. The unflappable youngster steps up to the challenge of her new lot in life, and ultimately wins over the hearts of wealthy neighbors - and even Queen Victoria herself - as she refuses to give up hope that her father will one day return after all.
Gung ho!: Seven weeks after Pearl Harbor, volunteers form the new 2nd Marine Raider Battalion. They are to raid Japanese-held islands. The men selected come from different walks of life but have toughness in common. After a perilous submarine journey, they face their first mission: to annihilate the much larger Japanese garrison on Makin Island.
