Summary:

"Dr. McRory, a crotchety old Maine physician, decides to take his first vacation in years, and requests a substitute doctor. Jim Pearson, the substitute, rubs him the wrong way so Dr. McRory decides to stay home and protect his practice. This puts the two men at each other's throat. Pearson finds help in the presence of the town schoolteacher, Trudy, and in his singing. It becomes Dr. McRory that needs and finds help.
