Many persuasive techniques used by today's media were pioneered by the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, Josef Goebbels. Roman emperors aside, Goebbels was one of the first public figures to recognize the value of mass entertainment to political propaganda. Enlivened by historical footage and interviews with eyewitnesses, this program traces the rise of Nazism, and the simultaneous unfolding of Goebbels' career.
