Summary:
Exciting adventures appear at every turn as children are introduced to the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and learn about Puerto Ricans who have come to live on the U.S. mainland, bringing their unique cultural traditions with them. Everyone learns to count to ten and say a few words in Spanish. Then, children visit the town of Ponce, Puerto Rico, where a carnival celebration is in full swing with parades, colorful costumes, masks, festive music and dancing. Children learn to make their own carnival masks, watch an animated folktale, Song of the Coqui, observe the native Puerto Rican frog and sing a folksong about the frog, called "El Coqui."
