Summary:
When Thomas discovers an abandoned engine that may be headed for the scrap yard, he enlists the help of his friends to save the engine from being destroyed; when Thomas gets lost in the mountains, he comes across an almost deserted town and his friends help him restore the town to its former glory; Thomas tries to convince the steam engines and diesel engines to get along so they can finish the work that needs to be done.
