Summary:
25 years after committing an unthinkable crime, a quiet, retarded man is released from a mental ward and returns home. Once there he is befriended by a fatherless boy and his mother. As a strong relationship develops between the man and the boy, a confrontation builds with the mother's abusive and sometimes violent boyfriend. This release includes: the interview/documentary/biography Mr. Thornton goes to Hollywood (1997, 24 min.) / produced, written, and directed by Shannon L. McIntosh; running audio commentary by the director; scenes deleted from the initial release; and the U.S. theatrical trailer.
