Summary:
Doctor Dolittle is the greatest veterinarian in the world because, with the help of his multilingual parrot, Polynesia, he speaks all the languages of the animal kingdom. All creatures from horses to lions can finally tell their doctor when they need a prescription for glasses instead of vitamins. So when an epidemic strikes the monkeys of Africa, a sparrow delivers word of the catastrophe to the only man who can understand and save them.
