Summary:
The first and last realized joint project of the famed German director F.W. Murnau and the celebrated documentary director Robert J. Flaherty, shot on location in the South Seas. The plot, concerning a doomed pair of young lovers on the island of Bora-Bora, is used only to bring together the elements of a superb travelogue and a romantic psychological drama.
