Summary:
Many years ago, Antônio das mortes killed Lampião, the last cangaceiro known to exist in Brazil. A rich landowner brings Antônio out of retirement, however, when he discovers a stray cangaceiro still living in the sertão. Antonio pursues the cangaceiro and his followers, but ultimately shifts his loyalties and must act accordingly.
