Summary:
It is an idyllic summer in Normandy just before the D-Day landings. In a ramshackle chateau live a vindictive old woman with her worldweary son and his ravishing but bored young wife. A Free French officer and a local Nazi both fall in love with her and an intriguing and hilarious rivalry for her affections ensues between the three men.
