Edited by W. W. Skeat for the Early Eng. text society 1886 (Extra series, no. 47) Contains also (p. [195]-236) as "Appendix from the Bodleian manuscript" (Bodley ms. 264, Western ms. 2464) the fragment edited by Skeat in 1878 under title "Alexander and Dindimus" (Early Eng. text society. Extra series. 31) and by F. P. Magoun in "The gestes of King Alexander", 1929, where it is described as an "almost slavishly faithful translation" of a recension (J℗) of the Historia de preliis.
