Summary:
Anywhere but here: Tired of her life in a small Wisconsin town, Adele August leaves her second husband and moves to Beverly Hills with her teenage daughter, who resents the move and her mother's dreaminess and flamboyance.
Where the heart is: After generating notoriety by giving birth in the Wal-Mart where she lives after being abandoned by her boyfriend, a teen mother begins to rebuild her life with the help of quirky strangers who become her surrogate family.
