Summary:
In 1910, twelve-year-old Jay Berry spends the summer trying to catch and return the elusive monkeys that have escaped to the woods to earn a reward which will make his dream of owning a pony come true. However, he learns a lesson in self sacrifice and love when he is forced to choose between his dream pet and his sister's future.
