Summary:
New York City narcotics detective 'Popeye' Doyle follows travels to Marseilles, France, in pursuit of the heroin dealers whom he hit, but failed to kill, but, after he teams up with the gendarmes to hunt down the ringleader, Doyle is kidnapped by the heroin kingpin and forced to become an addict himself.
