Summary:

The hard-boiled captain of a rescue ship is urged by his frail wife to quit his job and remain with her, but shortly thereafter he rescues a beautiful woman during a fierce storm. The two subsequently have an affair, but it is sharply interrupted by news of his wife's critical illness.
