Summary:
In Judith of Bethulia, the Judean fortress of Bethulia is attacked by Nebuchadnezzar's army, commanded by Prince Holofernes. Judith, a beautiful, respected widow saves the Judeans by entrancing Holofernes and once they are alone getting him drunk and decapitating him, thus throwing the Assyrians into confusion and defeat. Home sweet home is the story of John Howard Payne, who wrote the song with that title after leaving his mother and fiance for a life of dissolution and three other stories about people whose lives are affected by the song's message.
