Summary:

A troubled detective with a fear of heights is hired by a wealthy man to follow his beautiful wife who apparently is possessed by the spirit of her great-grandmother. Falling in love with her, he becomes entangled in a complex plot during which she falls to her death. A year later, he meets her double and his obsession begins.
