Summary:
Seven youths from cities arrive to harvest 70,000 sugar canes in 35 days in a small island in Okinawa-ken, Japan. They share meals and lodging with an elderly couple who hired them. The film relates the process of inner conflict resolution and discovery of self on the part of youths through collaborative and intensive manual labor for 35 days in the fields. Inspired by Hiroshi Osada's poems.
