Summary:
The stand: The U.S. government denies that there's a problem when the horrifying deaths begin, but within a few days, only one percent of the world's population is left alive after a deadly virus escapes from a California research lab. The shattered remnants of humanity face the end of civilization and the beginning of the ultimate battle between good and evil.
The Langoliers: On a flight from LA to Boston 10 passengers awake from a nap to find that all the other passengers have vanished ... and the ground below them is only ... ground. Once they land the situation doesn't improve. No one is there ... the air is still ... the clocks have stopped ... and a dread, evil presence bent on their destruction is headed straight for them.
Golden years: After being exposed to exotic chemicals in a lab explosion, a janitor, his wife and the lab's secretary chief go on the run to avoid government officials who will do anything and stop at nothing to find out more about the extraordinary changes the chemicals cause.
