Summary:
Apple dumpling gang: A roving bachelor inherits three young orphans and a wealth of problems. When the kids discover a gold nugget they must fend off the greedy townspeople, so they join forces with bumbling outlaws to stage a robbery of the gold. Apple dumpling gang rides again: Two bumbling outlaws try to go straight, but can't even seem to get that right. They make a deposit in a bank and are accused of robbing it ; they join the U.S. Cavalry and are court-martialed for blowing up the fort. They are put in the stockade and manage to escape.
