Summary:
Lovers and liars: Anita (Hawn) is a lonely American with only five days left to her Italian holiday. When she is invited to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa by a handsome and charming Italian banker, Guido (Giannini), she is thrilled. What Anita doesn't know is that not only is Guido married, but he's on his way to Pisa for his father's funeral. The promise of love: Teenage bride Kathy Emilio (Bertinelli) becomes a war widow when her husband, Marine Lt. John Emilio (Romano) is killed in Vietnam. Her attempt to piece together her life and rebuild her future is complicated by the development of a romantic relationship with a civilian recreation director at Camp Pendleton (Parker)
