Based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Lynn Riggs, "Oklahoma!" opened on Broadway on March 31, 1943. The Broadway musical starred Alfred Drake as Curly and was the first collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Gordon MacRae, Gloria Grahame, Shirley Jones, Gene Nelson, Charlotte Greenwood, Eddie Albert, James Whitmore, Rod Steiger.

Summary:
