Summary:
A farewell to arms: A tale of wartime love, it tells the heart-wrenching story of ambulance driver Lt. Frderic Henry and his love, nurse Catherine Barkley. The two meet and fall in love in Italy during WWI and though war and destruction rages around them, the couple will stop at nothing to be together.
Penny serenade: As Julie prepares to leave her husband Roger, she begins to play through a stack of recordings that chronicle their life together. One record contains the song that played the day she and Roger first met in a music store. Other songs remind her of their courtship, their marriage, their desire for a child and the joys and sorrows they shared, setting off a flood of memories that makes her ponder their present problems and how they arose.
