Summary:
Free Cinema consisted of a group of young film-makers who decided to rebel against the stifling, stuffy conformity of British cinema in the late fifties and to make their own films outside the confines of 'the system'. This video is a compilation of three short films about British working class life in which directors express their personal viewpoints without obligation to subscribe to the technical or social conventions imposed on commercial film-making.
