Summary:
Film biography of the world's most famous ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, made a year before his death in 1993. The film traces Nureyev's life starting from his hometown of Ufa, the town in the foothills of Russia's Ural Mountains where he grew up, and includes the recollections of his sister, his former headmistress, the dance teacher who first discovered his talents, and the prima ballerina at the Kirov Theatre who was Nureyev's first dancing partner.
