Summary:
In 1866, new fighting units were formed within the U.S. Cavalry: the couragous 9th and 10th regiments, called "Buffalo soldiers" by the Indians. In this drama a 9th Calvary officer is on trial for rape and murder. Lt. Cantrell defends him as witnesses give testimony relived in flashbacks, revealing the sergeant's gallantry and eventually the shocking truth behind the alleged crimes.
