Summary:
Did the Russian princess Anastasia die at the hands of the Russian rebels during the Revolution, or did she in fact survive? Ingrid Bergman, winner of the 1956 Best Actress Oscar, plays the destitute woman who remarkably resembles the real Anastasia. She is chosen by two Russian courtiers to masquerade as the princess in order to gain ten million pounds. Meeting scepticism initially from the family, Anastasia wins her way into their hearts.
