Summary:
"An ambitious project by one of Japan's most acclaimed filmmakers, Yamada Yoji, as he collaborates with Ritsumeikan University students to make this film. Co-directed by Abe Tsutomu. Set in the shopping district in Uzumasa, famous for its Shochiku and Toei film studios, the film combines documentary and drama to tell a heartwarming tale. Kyoko (Ebise Hana), the daughter of a dry-cleaner, meets Daichi (Tanaka Sotaro) at the library, who falls passionately in love with her. Unfortunately, Kyoko only has eyes for Kota (USA), a tofu-maker's son who is trying to become a stand-up comedian."--J-Pitch JFDB.
