Summary:
Homer has lived nearly his entire life within the walls of an orphanage in rural Maine and has been groomed by its proprietor to be his successor. But Homer nonetheless feels the need to strike out on his own and experience the world outside. There he falls for the beautiful Candy and learns some powerful lessons about life, love and home.
