A biography of American Indian chief Sitting Bull who united many Sioux and Cheyenne bands to defeat General Custer in 1876 at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Describes his youth, his rise to warrior and chief, his battles with the U.S. Army that eventually led to his surrender, and his death at the hands of tribal police just prior to the Wounded Knee massacre.
