Summary:
An orphan boy on his way to live with his uncle picks up a stray dog, and the two become fast friends. -- After social workers try to separate orphan Billy Kimberly from his dog Shep, boy and dog head west, teaming up en route with a Mexican immigrant. When an Arizona sheriff is wounded by robbers, and the Mexican is wrongly accused of the crime, Billy and Shepmust bring the true culprits to justice.
