Summary:

Kevin, Steve and Katie are doing some extracurricular snooping in the school science lab where they discover a corpse. When the body disappears, the kids find a replacement at a local hospital. It turns out to be Bud the Chud, a half-dead decomposing humanoid, the result of a military experiment gone haywire; and Bud goes on a killing spree, turning everyone into Chuds.
