Summary:
This secular oratorio is a reworking of Handel's Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno, composed in Rome in 1707. It is not known who wrote the libretto of Il trionfo del Tempo e della Verità, but it has much in common with that of Trionfo del Tempo e des Disinganno, whose words were written by Benedetto Pamphili. Musically only about one third of the score is the same or hardly altered--Preface.
