Special features include Dead Birds outtakes with filmmaker's original narration and additional commentary by Robert Gardner and Lucien Taylor; unedited camera sequences; two black and white sequences with commentary by Robert Gardner and Lucien Taylor; a television interview with a conversation between Robert Gardner, Octavio Paz and William Alfred; photographs with excerpts read by Robert Gardner from his journals. Original English narration by Robert Gardner, French narration by Jean Rouch, Spanish narration by Guillermo Sheridan. Filmed on location in West New Guinea's Baliem Valley in 1962. Public performance rights included.
