Rocked by tragedy, Annie Marlow heads to a cherished place: Oceanside in the Pacific Northwest. She begins to restore her broken spirit with the help of the eclectic folks she meets: Local Painter Keaton, who revitalizes Annie's rental cottage by the sea; Mellie, the irritable landlord Annie hopes to crack; and Britt, a teenager with a terrible secret. But Annie is most drawn to Keaton, his serene nature offering her reprieve from her grief. When a sudden opportunity threatens to undo the idyll she has built, Annie is torn between the excitement of a new journey and the secure arms of the haven-and the man-she now calls home. In this heartwarming tale, Annie finds that the surest way to overcome her own sorrow is to help others do the same.
