Third grader Nancy Drew and her friends, Bess and George, are excited. Mr. McCormick has a big jar of jelly beans on the counter in his store. The person who guesses how many it holds will win a trip to the Cosmic Kids Space Camp! The next day, he opens his store, the jar is gone! Using the notebook her father gave her, Nancy begins to gather clues.
